SimWars Group

Every year, on the day preceding and the first day of the PEMS congress, SimWars takes place, a simulation-based competition in the field of pediatric emergency medicine. Teams composed of physicians and nurses from across Switzerland compete, putting their clinical skills, technical abilities, and teamwork to the test.

Throughout the year, the teams prepare with great commitment and enthusiasm, training outside of working hours. Their preparation includes clinical simulations, practical skills sessions, communication training, and repeated practice of algorithms for managing emergency situations. This process not only enhances individual knowledge but also contributes to improving patient care in pediatric emergency departments.

To further strengthen team spirit, each team is asked to create a creative video and present themselves with a fun and original outfit, adding a playful dimension to the competition.

A particularly noteworthy aspect is the professional growth of each team member: preparing for SimWars represents a highly valuable educational opportunity, with positive impacts at both the individual and team levels.
